The voltage can be adjusted within the range of 100~600V (48~60Hz), and the short-circuit current is adjustable within the range of 1.0A to 0.1A. When the short-circuit leakage current is equal to or greater than 0.5A in the test circuit, the time should be maintained for 2 seconds, and the relay will act to cut off the current, indicating that the sample is unqualified.     The leakage discharge test is conducted on the surface of solid insulating materials. Between two platinum electrodes of a specified size (2mm × 5mm), a certain voltage is applied and a conductive liquid of a specified volume (0.1% NH4Cl) is dropped at a fixed height (35mm) at a fixed time (30s) to evaluate the leakage resistance performance of the insulating material surface under the combined action of electric field and humid or contaminated medium.
